Students 9th through 12th all gathered together in the SpringBrook gymnasium to start off the year with a Fall Pep Rally. From 12:30 to 2:30, students participated in games, chants and welcomed this year’s sports teams. Our student hosts Devereaux Edler and Israel Lambo introduced the fall sports teams for football, soccer, golf, cross country, girls volleyball, girls field hockey, poms and this year’s cheerleaders. Students cheered and clapped, welcoming their new sports teams as they ran across the gymnasium floor.
There was a spectacular opening dance routine by our poms team with backing music. Students were able to celebrate their school spirit by participating in games such as tug-o-war, hungry, hungry hippos and a relay race. All the teams made a full effort in each round however, the golf team and football team earned the most points during the games; even ending up tying during some rounds. Teams went up randomly against each other and one game of tug-o-war the staff formed a team and joined in on the fun.
We were lucky enough to have our own Springbrook band team play their instruments while the games and activities went on!
