During Read Across America Week, Springbrook High School students enrolled in the Teacher Academy of Maryland program visited Jackson Road Elementary School to serve as guest readers for students in Pre-K through 5th grade.
The visit gave Springbrook students the opportunity to connect with younger learners by reading aloud in classrooms throughout the school. Their time at Jackson Road helped promote the importance of literacy while also allowing Teacher Academy students to gain meaningful experience working with elementary school students.
Adding to the excitement, Blitz also made a special appearance during the visit. Blitz brought extra energy and school spirit, making the experience even more memorable for the elementary students.
The event was a fun and meaningful way for Springbrook students to support reading, engage with the community, and represent the school during Read Across America Week.
