It’s officially springtime at Springbrook, and the students are feeling it! The subtly warmer weather, sunnier days, and cheerier attitudes are circulating throughout as each student grows more excited for spring break. Spring break is notorious for its fun travel plans and relaxing time off for students and staff to welcome the spring season. Some students and teachers have shared their spring break plans with us, ranging from faraway travels to comfortable relaxation at home.
“I may go to El Salvador to visit my family. Maybe New York with some friends or like a Senior night trip with friends. I’ll also definitely be sleeping in,” Senior Anthony Luna shared his exciting travel plans.
However, some people are deciding to stay a little closer to home, enjoying the comfort of their friends and family.
“For spring break, I will be going out with my friends and family and just spending some quality time with them. Maybe go to the park, see some cherry blossoms, visit restaurants, and get some good sleep,” Sophomore Megha Purification shared with us.
Using the break to get some fresh air is always a good idea. The break can also be a great way to catch up on sleep and spend some time with yourself, indulging in much-needed self-relaxation.
“I don’t really have big plans for spring break, maybe watch some TV. I’ll most likely be inside for the break, catching some Z’s and working on a bit of lesson plans,” JLS teacher Mr. Peang-Meth said.
Nothing beats a relaxing week of doing whatever you’d like. Whether that’s traveling across the country, staying close to home with family, or staying indoors with some TV and snacks. Nonetheless, students and teachers alike will get a break from the hectic school responsibilities before the start of finals and AP exams. Enjoy the beginning of spring because it’s only getting warmer from here!
