It is time to “Swing into Spring”

This year’s “Swing into Spring” concert, to be held this year on April 5, will mark the 14th consecutive year of the concert’s existence. As a part of the many performances put on by the Music Department, the concert takes aim at promoting musical opportunities in the community. The concert, organized every year by the Springbrook Music Boosters, is not only an opportunity to showcase the musical talent of the Springbrook band, but also one to raise money in order to fund the department as a whole.

Those who choose to attend the event will have a wide variety of activities to partake in: options span from enjoying the orchestra and jazz music, to enjoying diverse food and drink selections, and even bidding on items at the silent auction table.

“I always find the Swing into Spring fun because I’m in the jazz band so performing and seeing everyone getting up to dance is cool,” senior Victor Weiser said.

The benefits of attending this event run deep: not only will attendees have the opportunity to enjoy a leisurely night of music and food, but they will also be giving back to those who are performing; the proceeds of the event will go directly back to the music department, and used for vital parts of band operation, including festival costs, instrument repair, and basic transportation costs. Be sure to come out on April 5 to support your school and your community.
