Blueprint’s fall sports review

The Fall sports season has ended and all the teams did a great job this season. Here are some reviews of the seasons.

Football (1-9-0)

Even though the team went 1-9 this season, they have a lot of upsides with a lot of underclassmen. With a lot of varsity experience on the team now, they will continue to grow together and next year they should be able to make a playoff run.

Boys Soccer (6-9-1)

The soccer team, despite being 6-9-1, won their first playoff game 3-0 over Digital Harbor High School. Unfortunately, they fell to Howard High School 4-1 in the Division Semifinals. Even though they didn’t make it far into the playoffs, they fought hard the whole season and were close to a division title.

Field Hockey (11-5-0)

The field hockey team didn’t fall short of what they did last year when they went 11-3. They just fell short of the State championship game falling to Winston Churchill 1-0 in closely fought game. The team will continue to grow, even though goalkeeper Tatiana Sookdeo won’t be returning next year, they also have freshman Patrice Downs to fill in her spot. With five seniors graduating this year, it will be tough to fill in their spots, but that won’t intimidate the 2016 Division Champs!

Girls Soccer (5-10-1)

Just like the boys, despite being 5-10-1, they also got to the semifinals of the division playoffs where they loss to Blair 3-1. In a very well played season they will look to build off of where they fell short this season next year.

Girls Tennis (8-4-0)

The girls flew under the radar, but represented Springbrook well throwing together a great season with only losing 4 teams within the meets that they played in.  They shined throughout the season improving from last season where they went 6-4-0.
