Most Anticipated Movies of 2017

1. Beauty and the Beast (March 17th, 2017)
If you’re a Disney kid, you must be excited to see this film. The reboot for one of the best Disney princesses, Belle. In this film, Belle is played by Emma Watson, who is known from her major role as Hermione Granger. in the Harry Potter franchise. For those who haven’t seen Beauty and the Beast, hopefully this movie will answer the questions that you may have.

2. Power Rangers (March 24th, 2017)
GO, GO POWER RANGERS!! The Rangers are back on the big screen. If you’re a big fan of the Power Rangers, then you must be really excited. The storyline to this movie will reflect the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers that came out in the 90’s. All the Power Ranger fans are hoping that this movie will be done well. All the Ranger’s colors will included in this movie, pink, yellow, blue, black and obviously red.

3. The Fate of the Furious (April 12th, 2017)
The Fast and Furious franchise must love making money because they keep continuing this series. Even though they keep making movies, they know how to out themselves. Most of the cast are coming out, plus some old characters are returning.

4. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (May 5th, 2017)
After having so much success in the first movie. Director, James Gunn, will come back with a sequel. The main cast will return to this movie such as, Chris Pratt, Vin Diesel, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista and Bradley Cooper. This movie will help develop the storyline for the Avengers: Infinity War. The Guardians of the Galaxy will be apart of the Avengers when they take on the biggest villain, Thanos. If you see this movie, look for a teasers that helps introduce the Avengers into their storyline.

5. Alien: Covenant (May 19th, 2017)
The last Aliens movie was 5 years ago, so it’s being brought back. This movie actually looks like it could be good. The trailer has come out, and it’s going to be a very Sci-Fi movie.

6. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (May 26th, 2017)
This will be the fifth installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Jack Sparrow comes back to the big screen after being gone for 6 years. Hopefully this series doesn’t end up like the Transformer franchise. This movie could make or break their franchise going forward. Fans of the Pirates of the Caribbean may not remember what’s going on before they see this movie.

7. Wonder Woman (June 2nd, 2017)
After making an appearance in the “Blockbuster” movie, Superman v. Batman, Wonder Woman will make her movie by herself. This movie will talk about the backstory of Wonder Woman. Gal Gadot will continue her role as Wonder Woman, after making a huge appearance in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Chris Pine, known for his role as, James T. Kirk, in the impressive Star Trek franchise, will play an important role in this upcoming film as Steve Trevor, an Air Force Pilot, and has a love interest in Wonder Woman. If this movie is done well, this could be a summer blockbuster.

8. All Eyez On Me (June 16th, 2017)
For all those Tupac fans. It has come. A biopic on Tupac will be coming out this year. Demetrius Shipp Jr. will play the great Tupac Shakur. You may get freaked out when you first see this movie because Tupac and Demetrius look exactly alike. Hopefully this movie isn’t another flop just like The Notorious B.I.G movie was. So far the teasers and trailers for this movie look incredible. If everything is put together well, then this movie might be nominated for some awards.

9. Spider-Man: Homecoming (July 7th, 2017)
Another Spider-Man movie yet again. However, this movie will have a new Spider-Man appearing in this movie upcoming franchise. Tom Holland, will play Spidey in this movie, after making an appearance in the blockbuster, Captain America: Civil War. After coming off that movie, Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr., will try to help Spider Man. So, hopefully there will be scenes with them fighting off bad guys together.

10. War of the Planet of the Apes
(July 14th, 2017)
The Planets of the Apes franchise has been going on since the 60’s. Rupert Wyatt, was the first director that actually got the series right. When Rise of the Planet of the Apes came out in 2011, there was a lot of buzz, so the franchise kept going. Matt Reeves picked up the series after the first movie, and made it more of a thriller.

11. Dunkirk (July 21st, 2017)
People who love stories about World War II. You may find interest in this movie. This movie is about British forces that embark on a trip to Dunkirk, France.

12. It (September 8th, 2017)
After 1990, people would have never thought that they would see Pennywise on the big screen again. Pennywise will be played by, Bill Skarsgard, known from Sweden. This won’t be a continuation to that movie, instead it will be a reboot to the famous horror film. The cover art for this movie looks to be scarier than the original.

13. Creed II (November 2017)
After having success in the first Creed, Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone, are coming back to make Creed II. Adonis Johnson is coming back to the big screen after losing a tough fight against ‘Pretty’ Ricky Conlan. So far, this movie is currently going in the same direction as the first Rocky movie was. This time around, hopefully there won’t be a lot of changes. For example, hopefully, the chemistry between the cast can be shown. Hopefully, the director Ryan Coogler, can still show black love between Adonis and his girlfriend, Bianca, played by Tessa Thompson. Right now there isn’t a current date for the release of the movie, but hopefully there will announcements for the release.

14. Justice League (November 17th, 2017)
DC comic fans have been waiting for this movie to come out for years. And now every story told from each DC superhero will connect all together in the upcoming movie. The only thing that fans might be worried about is how the storyline will be told. For years, DC comics hasn’t done well in telling the backstory of a superheros. Hopefully, director, Zack Snyder, will make Justice League more of a action movie, with the same amount of dialogue and action. Also, going into details about the background of Aquaman, Flash, and Cyborg played by Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller. And Ray Fisher.

15. Star Wars Episode VIII (December 15th, 2017)
After doing well in their recent film, Rogue One, Lucasfilm will have to follow up with same amount of success with Episode VIII. Hopefully in this episode there will be answers to the questions that was left after Episode VII. This will be the last movie that Carrie Fisher aka Princess Leia, will be making an appearance in the Star Wars franchise, after passing away in late last year. MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!
