Ceramics is an elective that is under the radar. Many are not aware of what the class has to offer. Now, the mystery of ceramics is solved. Students in ceramics gives insight on the engaging class.

The most frequent question that is asked about Ceramics is what do students do in the class. Students mold clay and design it into pottery. The process that goes into it may seem tricky but a ceramics student breaks down the processnewspaper-resizes.

“Well you have to cut the clay first, then go through wedging and rolling it out then start building what you’re making,” Maraliz says.

 

In an engaging class like ceramics there are many aspects of the class that can be your favorite.

“ My favorite part of this class is getting the finish product so I can keep it because I like keeping my work, “ senior London Moore said.

 

Ceramics is one out of many electives that allow students to express themselves. But the hands on experience makes the course a unique and an engaging class that many will enjoy. Carlos Escobar is a returning student to ceramics and encourages fellow Blue Devils to give ceramics a shot.    

“I think it’s a fun class and it’s easy. You genews-resizet to make what you want to do with your hands and other art classes you paint and draw but ceramics is more hands on. ” Escobar said.
