Transcripts: What You Need To Know
Calling all seniors!
If you are applying early action to any college have you submitted your transcript request form? Well if not make sure you head to the counseling office to talk to your counselor.
Early action means that you submit your application early and then receive your admission letter early. But, you do not have to commit to anything.
Early decision means that you are applying early, But, you have to commit to this college and attend this college. In addition, consider financial aid that is ideal for your parents.
All requests for a Nov. 1 submission deadline must be submitted by September 30.
“They can come to us after the deadline but we can not assure you it will be done by the deadline,” Counselor Mrs. Brown-Miles said.
A 30-day notice is required in order to have all you materials ready for submission of your application.
If you have a regular admission or rolling admission, all seniors have to be attentive to make sure you are meeting your required deadlines.
“Transcript request can be done at any time,” Mrs.Brown-Miles said.
But always remember to do it in the time frame of the deadlines you have to meet.
In order to submit a transcript request you have to go to the counseling office and ask the secretary for a transcript form.Here, they will guide you through the process and have you fill out the form for what each college requires and the deadline for each.
“You must go through the entire application process to determine to see what needs to be sent the your counselor,” Mrs. Brown-Miles said.
