Bad: (Adj) When used in context referring to a female, means she is attractive. Ex. “That girl in the green shorts is bad.”
Bae: (N) Short for “baby”, also an acronym for “Before Anyone Else”, used to describe a significant other. Ex. “Oh yeah that’s bae over there.”
Bruh: (N) A word to show surprise or shock, also used when greeting a friend. Ex. “What is good bruh.”
Chill: 1. (V) Often used pair with “bruh”, to calm down or refrain from doing something stupid. “Chill bruh its not that big of a deal.” 2.) To relax or hang out with someone. “Lets chill at my house after school.”
Crankin: (V) To get really hyped to music, usually very loud. Ex. “Every time this song comes on, I start crankin.”
Dip: (V) To leave a place quietly and discreetly. Ex. “This party is dead, I’m about to dip.”
Fam: (N) Used to describe your actually biological family or close friends. “Oh D’Brickashaw, thats my fam.”
Finna: (V) Another way of saying “I’m going to”. Ex. “I’m finna get some food.”
Geekin: (Adj) To act strange or out of context. Ex. “Get your mans he’s geekin.”
Guh: (Adj) A condition where one is frustrated or in a state of disbelief. Ex. “Scott stepping on my new shoes has got me so guh right now.”
Jah like: This is not English, a filler word similar in meaning to “kind of”. Ex. “It is jah like bur out here.”
Joint: (N) Any noun can be covered under the broad scope of this word. Ex. “Did you see that joint?”
Kill: (V) Usually followed with “mo”, referring to whoever the comment is directed at, showing sympathy towards someone going through a bad situation. Ex. “Your house burnt down, kill mo.”
Kirk: (V) To get angry at someone or lose control and throw a temper tantrum. Ex. “When he scuffed my Jordans, I kirked off on him.
On Fleek: (Adj) When something is exceptional or perfect. Ex. “Girl, your eyebrows are on fleek today.”
One hunned: (Adj) To be one hundred percent real and genuine, not being fake at all. Ex. “You know me I always gotta keep it one hunned for my boys.”
Sice: (V) To exaggerate, to make something a bigger deal than it really is. Ex. “There is no need to sice it, its not even that cold outside.”
Stamp: (V) A word to show that you are adamant about something. Ex. “I stamp if he ever tries to talk to my girl ever again I will be very angry.”
To go ham: (V) To act out of control or crazy. Ex. “I’m about to go ham on him, he took my sandwich.”
To go smack: (V) To attempt to flirt with someone you’re interested in. Ex. “That girl in the green shorts is bad, I think I’m gonna go smack.”
0-100: (Adj) These two numbers don’t represent the actual numerical values of 0 and 100, but rather the rapid speed of something being done. Derived from Drake’s song “0-100”. Ex. “That fight went 0-100 real quick.”
