Thursday, Oct. 16 had all the vibes. SGA kicked off the Staff vs. Students series with a packed flag football game, and the staff took the win, 23–7. From quick flag pulls to sideline sprints, the energy stayed high. Students went for big plays while teachers mixed in just enough trickery to keep their lead.
“Events like this create chances for students and teachers to get to know each other outside of the classroom,” said SGA sponsor Ms. Sade Campbell. “A little friendly competition helps build trust, school spirit, and real connections, and that’s what we’re all about.”
Huge thanks to Ms. Lemos, Ms. Olenick, and Ms. Scribner for helping Ms. Campbell run the event, and to everyone who showed up to cheer, play, keep score, snap photos, and make it fun. It wasn’t just about the scoreboard. Sportsmanship, laughs, and Blue Devil pride carried the night.
This is just the beginning. Volleyball is up next in the Staff vs. Students series. Watch Canvas and morning announcements for the date, time, and sign-ups. Whether you are playing or hyping from the stands, bring a friend, wear your Blue Devil gear, and get loud.
