The United States has more than 63.6 million Latinos (19%). On February 3, 2025, everyone around the United States had a day without immigrants. This is where any immigrant would not go to work, shop, or attend school all day.
This day impacted many people because it highlighted the essential role of immigrants in the economy and local communities. As you may have noticed, many Latinos did not go to work, shop, or go to school. The whole reason for this is that Trump made an executive order on immigration, including one that could end birthright citizenship, opposing the 14th Amendment. Every Latino fights for themselves and their children. As many have noticed, the streets, schools, and many places were empty on this day (February 3, 2025) because of the protest. Also, because of this, in school, more students were absent than on any other day in the school year. Many of the teachers were somewhat surprised at how many did not show up to school that day. But also at the same time they were supported on why they had done this in the first place.
A lot of people have recognized how important the Latino community is to the United States. Without them, this country would not be the same today. Shortly still our Latinos would continue to grow. Seeing how people come together just to help out one another shows how people evolved. If this had happened a long time ago this would not have made such a difference that it has made in this day and age.
