Faven: My name is Faven, and I play a Draculette in the show.
Jill: What experience have you had in theatre? Why did you join?
Faven: I started theatre when I did a fall show for chorus in 6th grade. I was supposed to do a show in 7th grade but then Covid hit so I didn’t get to do it, but I did Mean Girls in sophomore year. When I transferred to Springbrook the following year, I joined Clue! and The Addams Family. I love theatre in general and that’s why I do what I do.
Jill: How did you prepare for your role in Dracula?
Faven: I had to prepare for tons of blocking (movement and stage placement). I heavily rely on the people around me and just follow Dracula around backstage to know my cues.
Jill: What do you think makes your character interesting to the audience?
Faven: How do I word it? Just the personality we’ve given the Draculettes as a collective, we are definitely primarily used for atmosphere more than plot development but we are an integral part to the play nevertheless.
Jill: Why is this play important to you?
Faven: It’s one of my last productions of high school and I really want to make it count!
Jill: Special moments? People?
Faven: I’d like to thank the cast, especially the actors for Lucy, Shirley, Jennie, Mina, and the make-up people!
