Last Tuesday, on December 12, the Blue Devils faced off against their consortium rivals, the Blake Bengals, in an intense match. Springbrook beat Blake at home with a final score of 96-93, advancing them to a record of 3-0, and continuing their undefeated streak. Five blue devils scored over double-digits in the action-packed game. Senior and captain Cameron Rucker lead his team with 25 points, followed by junior Timitrius Whitney-Hawkins, who scored 23 points.

So far, the Springbrook Boys Varsity Basketball team has defeated Watkins Mill, Bethesda Chevy-Chase, and now James H. Blake. The Springbrook community has some big expectations for the team this season, and this year’s squad is working harder than ever. The team’s next appearance is tonight, December 15th , at 7:15, against Walt Whitman High School.
