An Ideal World- Poem

The following is a special contribution from the Springbrook Creative Writing Club.

AN IDEAL WORLD

Welcome to my imagination, in

The hidden depths of my fantasies

Where one’s opinion- no matter

How big, no matter how small,

Doesn’t matter who it came from

At all- is beloved and respected,

Valued more than anything.

Every idea, every strange thought,

Every inquiry, is all piled up into

An insurmountable mass of riches and

Treasures, glittering gold in the warm

Sunlight of open-minded consideration:

And all it costs to get it,

Is the willingness to listen.

Penny for your thoughts, my dear?
