It is 2017, a fresh year, and we are ready for some new music. Last year’s albums were like a bag of skittles with unlimited flavors and combinations. Projects like Coloring Book, The Life of Pablo, Islah, and We Got It From Here. Thank You 4 Your Service had kickstarted Hip-Hop into a new dimension for 2016. But since 2017 is the here and now, here is a list of our top 4 most anticipated Hip-Hop albums.

1. Young Thug, ‘Hy!£UN35′(High Tunes)
What can we say about Young Thug? He’s young, rich, flashy, and hilariously entertaining. The Atlanta-based rapper is on fire from his recent album, Jeffrey, which is surprisingly his first name. His production rate is outrageously outstanding. He is definitely an unanimous contender at getting to the Billboard with number #1 hits so there’s no doubting him at that. High Tunes could show a funny side of him due to his past success with Jeffrey. Young Thug has fans’ attention on lock.

2. Childish Gambino & Chance the Rapper, (Unknown)
We were first hinted of a possible collaboration between the two when Chance posted a photo with Gambino on his Instagram page back in January of this year. It was hashtagged #roscoeswetsuit. For the fans unfamiliar with the hashtag, #roscoeswetsuit originated back in 2013 when Childish Gambino dropped “Because the Internet”.

Rumors of the alleged joint-project resurfaced when Gambino himself confirmed that something was in the works between them. In his most recent interview of this year, he confirmed, “We actually sat down in the studio and we were talking for a little bit. We’ve just been sitting down and just working together.”

3. Kendrick Lamar and J.Cole, (Unknown)
The issue about this project is that it was mere rumors. Prior to this, the most recent headline involving the duo occurred way back in 2015, Black Friday. They had released remixes from their most popular song of their recent albums. Kendrick remixed J. Cole’s “A Tale of 2 Citiez” whereas J. Cole remixed Kendrick’s “Alright.” However, on December 9 2016, Ab-Soul—a member of the Top Dawg Entertainment record label, which Kendrick is also signed on to—was interviewed by the Breakfast Club. He confirmed the existence of the duo’s collaborative project. He revealed, “They got it. They got something in the works. They’ve been working on that thing for a while.”

4. Drake, “More Life”

Drake’s upcoming release has been filled with setbacks. It was first announced back in October on his birthday via Apple Music. He confirmed that it would release in December of 2016. This did not occur, but we can be sure that the album will first premiere on Apple Music. Drake’s manager—Oliver—has confirmed so.
