‘Project Runway’ winner’s journey through the competition

The winner of this season of Project Runway is Erin Robertson. Erin started the competition with strong looks, won the first competition and was on the top for the first three competitions because she was unique and her beautiful embroidery was breathtaking.

She was all the judges favorite and they knew an Erin piece when it walked down the runway. Then she hit her rock bottoms. She went from the biggest competitor to a joke trying hard to make her come back. She was in the bottom for four challenges in a row, which was enough for her to wake up, bump up to the top with a fabulous editorial look inspired by New York. Then we knew, Erin was back and better.

She was at the top for the rest of the competition, then stunned us with an artsy, fresh, different and fashion forward runway which gave her win.

Erin’s Journey
She started the season taking the first win on an unconventional look, using gumballs and wigs to create her look.

The task was to make an outfit that’ll fit all body types and Erin served it with this gorgeous oversized dress, which got her on the top.

The challenge was to create a dress that will look good in daylight as well as the dark. She created a dress that was conservative in the day, but flirty, and outline the bra area at night. She also embroidered each piece on the skirt and the top. Her hard work got her the win for this challenge.

The designers had to create their own fabric and make a stylish swimming suit. Erin’s lack of swimsuit experience got safe this challenge.

This was the first group challenge. Erin created this stunning coat and embroidered the pockets by hand, which got her another win.

Designers were to attend a press conference and take a break from work, but that in fact, turned into a challenge. Erin got her inspiration from the bathroom and the mood in the room. The judges were disappointed with this look and she surprisingly got in the bottom.

This design was inspired by the urban jungle. Erin tried to save herself and possibly get another win in this challenge by bringing back out her beautiful embroidering skills on the skirt, but the judges were not fans of this look. She unfortunately got in the bottom again.

This was the second group challenge. Erin’s group had the color red. They had a hard time with the color because it’s so strong. They ended up last because their looks were too red.

The designers were to design an outfit for a special person in their lives. Erin designed for her mom. She was inspired by the next stage in her mom’s life and saw her as a butterfly that just came out of its shell

Erin made this simple, gorgeous editorial dress inspired by New York.

Erin’s confidence was back up, and she made a bold yellow dress out of leather, silk, wire mesh, chain links.

Erin made this beautifully embroidered backless and sleeveless dress out of unconventional materials, which got her qualified for New York fashion week.
